Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Paramount Skydance will begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs within a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August worth $8.4bn.
Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm planning to announce complete information during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Previous updates stated the firm aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.
Until December 2024, Paramount retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.
