PC Wolstencroft drew his Taser and sought a safe opportunity, ending the fight to an finish.
Sergeant Ansell was heard stating: "Please provide something on my throat here, I'm bleeding in the throat."
Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple open wounds to his throat and more injuries to his limbs and torso, whereas Sgt Foster experienced slash wounds.
The department stated Sergeant Foster utilized his palms to stem his partner's bleeding before paramedics reached the scene.
The latest recognition arrives after the trio of policemen were granted internal Bravery Awards in October 2023 and the police federation award from the regional union branch in spring 2024.
They were also awarded a North West Valor Recognition in summer 2024.
